Who is that bearded guy?
That’s me, Alrik Bursell, I am a filmmaker, producer, cinematographer, editor and director. I’ve been working in video production for over 10 years and I’ve worked on everything from feature films, to broadcast commercials to DVD instructional videos, if those even exist any more.
My first feature film The Alternate was shot in the winter of 2019, did it’s film festival run playing over 20 film festivals and winning 15 awards worldwide, and we have secured worldwide distribution for the film, which is coming out in the USA/Canada in September 2022.
In my filmmaking I’m a big believer in casting diversely and getting more people who don’t look like me in front of the camera. We have 100 years of cinema with 99% of everyone on camera being a certain color, I’m hoping to be a part of the change that’s in progress, where we start to see people of all backgrounds be represented in the lead roles in our films.
